Unilateral secondary breast reconstruction using a pedicled dorsal flap sparing the latissimus dorsi (TDAP and MSLD) in patients with a history of total mastectomy for breast cancer. Monocentric observational study
CONCLUSION: Unilateral total secondary breast reconstruction with a dorsal pedicled flap sparing the latissimus dorsi muscle is an elegant, reliable, and respectful way to reconstruct a breast, and appears to give high levels of satisfaction.PMID:38065785 | DOI:10.1016/j.anplas.2023.11.004 (Source: Annales de Chirurgie)

Long-term results of plantar skin grafts versus skin grafts of hairy areas for covering loss of skin substances on the palmar surface of the fingers, palm of the hand and sole of the foot in patients with black skin. Prospective cohort study of 123 total skin grafts
CONCLUSION: In view of these results, we recommend a plantar skin graft for black-skinned patients to cover losses of skin substances on the palmar surface of the fingers, the palm of the hand and the sole of the foot, if indicated.PMID:38000976 | DOI:10.1016/j.anplas.2023.11.002 (Source: Annales de Chirurgie)

Effectiveness and interest of retrobulbar hyaluronidase injections in the treatment of blindness complicating facial hyaluronic acid injections: A literature review
DISCUSSION: Literature reveals only 3 cases of successful treatment out of the 16 reported injections. The time interval before retrobulbar injection, as well as the dose and the experience of the injecting practitioner, may influence the success rate of this treatment. Other treatments, such as intravascular hyaluronidase injections, remain to be explored.PMID:37980189 | DOI:10.1016/j.anplas.2023.10.002 (Source: Annales de Chirurgie)
