Employing a Xiphoid-umbilicus Approach in an Endoscopic Totally Extraperitoneal Procedure for the Preperitoneal Repair of Midline Ventral Hernias

Conclusions: Endoscopic preperitoneal repair helps reduce damage to the abdominal wall during a TES procedure. Compared with a suprapubic approach, employing a xiphoid-umbilicus approach facilitates preperitoneal repair for small ventral hernias of the middle-upper abdomen. This will be a future option for minimally invasive surgical repair of such ventral hernias (Supplemental Digital Content 1, Video, http://links.lww.com/SLE/A287).
