Pediatric Rheumatology Comes of Age: Part II

Dr Yukiko Kimura and Dr Laura E. Schanberg have assembled two issues that reflect the remarkable changes taking place in the pediatric rheumatology community over the past 10 years. Much of this success, as reflected in the issues, is due to the strides forward in collaborative research efforts made by the various organizational care and research structures of which Laura and Yuki have played such a pivotal role and continue to do so. It is not true, however, that there has only been successes, since our editors tell us that clinical remission for childhood arthritis is not achieved in a substantial number of cases.
