Perioperative Chemotherapy Is Associated with Increased Risk of Ventral Incisional Hernia in Gastrointestinal Cancer Patients Undergoing Surgical Resection

Factors associated with the development of ventral hernia after surgery are well defined, particularly obesity. It is unknown whether oncologic therapies such as chemotherapy or radiation increase the risk of incisional hernia.
