Enhancing Cultural Capabilities Amongst Health Professions Students: A Pilot Study of Interprofessional Tag Team Simulation

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander* cultural capability is an essential competency for health professionals in Australia (Guerra& Kurtz,  2017). Up to 47% of the reported gap in health outcomes between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people are attributed to institutional and interpersonal racism and intergenerational trauma (Bourke, Marrie and Marrie, 2019), recognising and challenging institutional racism that perpetuates health i nequalities is an important aspect of cultural capability (Bond, Whop, Singh and Kajlich, 2020; Commonwealth of Australia, 2013).
