Prospective Evaluation of Tarsal Coalition Excision Show Significant Improvements in Pain and Function

Conclusions: This prospective study demonstrated remarkable clinical improvements after tarsal coalition excision regardless coalition type, though postoperative courses differed between calcaneonavicular and talocalcaneal types. Finally, a subset of patients has ongoing activity limiting foot pain after coalition excision which could not be explained by the data in this study.
