Terminal Syme Amputation of the Great Toe in the Pediatric Population

Conclusions: Terminal Syme amputation was successful in treating pediatric patients who have recalcitrant onychocryptosis and paronychia. There was little functional consequence following terminal Syme amputation of the great toe in this patient population, making it an effective salvage procedure.
