House Hearing Airs Cases For and Against Semiconductor Funding Surge

At a recent House Intelligence Committee hearing, witnesses discussed ways the U.S. can address security and supply-chain vulnerabilities in the microelectronics industry. They also disagreed about the wisdom of the current congressional proposal to provide tens of billions of dollars to fund the manufacturing subsidies that were authorized in the CHIPS for America Act.
