Meeting Children ’s Greatest Needs

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many challenges to all of us, especially to our pediatric patients and our own children. This last academic year was either mostly or entirely virtual, certainly not optimal, and the forward academic progression for many children was hampered. Social isolation prevented gatherings, school activities, and even playing outside in the neighborhood. We will likely not fully understand the ramifications and impact of the pandemic on our children for years to come. Moreover, it has been a challenge for many of our pediatric patients to get the health care they deserve and need.
