Serum uric acid is associated with incident hip fractures in women and men
The population-based cohort study conducted by Preyer et al published in Maturitas disclosed that increased serum uric acid per levels were associated with a higher risk of hip fracture (adjusted hazard ratio=1.06 and 95%confidence interval=1.01-1.10).[1] Some points are discussed here.
