In conclusion, OSFMD yielded similar im provements in overall OHRQL in both obese and non-obese individuals. Periodontal parameters were associated with a worse quality of life in obese patients. Periodontal treatment can be an important component to improve the OHRQL of obese individuals, and clinicians should expect similar results as t hose obtained with non-obese patients.
