Perioperative Outcomes for Centers Routinely Admitting Postoperative Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair to the ICU
Routine ICU use after endovascular aortic aneurysm repair was not associated with decreased perioperative complication, in-hospital mortality, and 1-year survival; however, it was associated with prolonged length of stay. Development of updated care pathways to include routine postoperative admission to lower acuity care units may reduce cost without compromising care.
