Pain in Rheumatic Diseases

Dr Maripat Corr has put together a remarkable “theme” issue about pain, a real tour de force! Since pain is what distinguishes our patients from almost all other disciplines and specialties and in most cases also drives our clinical and therapeutic decisions, we appreciate the opportunity to receive this information in order to understand t he complex nature of pain in rheumatic diseases. The conditions we deal with are also challenging since even in a single patient there may be more than one pain mechanism or experience.
