Sleeve gastrectomy may double the risk of esophageal adenocarcinoma in morbidly obese patients
We read with interest the article “Esophageal Adenocarcinoma After Sleeve Gastrectomy: Actual or Potential Threat? Italian Series and Literature Review” by Genco et al. [1], and we share their concern about the possible increase in the incidence of esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC) after sleeve gastrectomy (SG).
