Evaluating Entrustable Professional Activities in a Nurse Practitioner Readiness for Practice Simulation
Competency-based education embracing principles of entrustable professional activities and experiential learning are emerging as the foundation for assessment of learner outcomes. The goal of our program is to prepare competent, entrustable, and practice-ready nurse practitioners. One way to capture entrustability is through faculty-evaluated simulation. This review describes an evaluation documenting entrustable professional activities during simulation activities of Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner students in their final year of study.
