Discussion: The most common indications for using CINPT according to the literature review and the NSQIP database are BMI > 30, smoking status, and diabetes mellitus. Besides identifying patients who potentially benefit the most from CINPT, the results of this study suggest clinical adherence to the practice guidelines reported in the literature regarding wound management using this treatment modality.
