Number of prior vaginal deliveries and trial of labor after cesarean success

The recently reported rate of primary cesarean deliveries (CDs) was 26% in 2017(1, 2). Women attempting trial of labor after CD (TOLAC) are at increased risk of several adverse outcomes, of which uterine rupture is particularly concerning (3).
