18.4 working with patients with limited communication skills and severe problem behaviors: increasing success and safety of crisis intervention in community settings
This presentation aims to: 1) understand the complexities of behavioral crisis situations in community settings for patients with limited communication skills; 2) understand the perspective and training needs of mobile crisis interventionists, emergency response providers, school personnel, caregivers, and other community providers; and 3) learn strategies to safely provide care to patients in crisis in community settings.
