Steam ablation to treat non troncular varicose vein: Short-term results in 59 cases

The treatment of non troncular varicose veins more and more uses foam echo-sclerosis. It gives good short-term results but with frequent early and late recanalisations requiring monitoring and repeated injections. Steam ablation combines the effectiveness of a thermal treatment (long-term good performance) and the capacity of gas diffusion without toxicity or the embolic risk related to foam echo-sclerosis.
