Symptom burden of atopic dermatitis in early childhood assessed from daily monitoring of symptoms and topical steroid usage

Capsule summary Traditionally, clinicians have used SCORAD to assess the severity of atopic dermatitis. However, this cross-sectional instrument fails to capture fluctuations in AD, duration, chronicity and treatment. Our study contributes in a new way to the understanding of AD burden in children and may have a clinical utility for personalized prognosis.
