Independent physician-owned practices adopt more quality improvement strategies

(George Mason University) Quality improvement (QI) strategies play an essential role in transforming primary care practices to improve population health, enhance patient experiences and outcomes, reduce costs, and improve provider experience. New research led by Dr. Tulay Soylu found that primary care practices are willing to change but have concerns about the pace of change and how to manage the internal politics of change. How practices tackle quality improvement depends in part on their structure.
