Measurement of refractive, wavefront, topographic, and keratometric changes attributable to epithelial removal in keratoconus.

CONCLUSIONS: In eyes with keratoconus, epithelial debridement increased the magnitude of anterior corneal prolateness and tended to increase astigmatism and shift its axis toward the against-the-rule orientation.
