Vertical height augmentation genioplasty using autogenous bone harvested from proximal segments after vertical ramus osteotomy
The chin profile is an important factor that affects facial aesthetics. Despite the favourable results of alloplastic and allogenic materials used for vertical height augmentation genioplasty (VHAG), there is a risk of infection and graft rejection.1 An interpositional iliac bone graft can provide stable results but has donor-site morbidity.2
