Comment on, Hyperbaric Oxygen for pediatric hypospadias cripples, evaluating the advantages regarding graft take. By Amos Neheman Yishai H. Rappaport, Guy Verhovsky, Nicol Bush, Warren Snodgrass, Erez Lang, Amnon Zisman, Shai Efrati

I read with interest this article where the authors discussed the role of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) in hypospadias surgery, but I have several concerns. In compiling the references, the authors appear to have ignored several contributions on the subject, some of them are mine. This may seem trivial, but recently inappropriate accreditation and misquotation appear to be occurring frequently in the literature of hypospadias. Nowhere in the manuscript is any credit given to the classic article by Perrins and Cantab who in 1967 first investigated the use of HBOT for skin grafts in humans (1).
