High prevalence of oropharyngeal dysphagia in acutely hospitalized patients aged 80 and older
In this study including 329 acutely hospitalized patients aged 80 and older the prevalence of oropharyngeal dysphagia (assessed with an objective test, the Volume-Viscosity Swallow Test) was 82.4%.
