Our leadership team was putting the final touches on our month-long boot camp while badges were printed and white coats were embroidered. Then on February 26, the first case of COVID-19 without a clear exposure was diagnosed in the United States; community spread was here, and the world within the hospital seemed to geologically shift overnight.
