My latest running playlist – bpm 160-180
Some runners listen to music; some don’t. Music enhances my running. I have clear criteria. I should smile when the song comes up randomly. The song should propel me to run better. I always enjoy newer additions, hence Daft Punk, Elvis Costello & the Roots and Mayer Hawthorne on this list.
Wake Me Up 5:54 Elvis Costello & The Roots Wise Up Ghost 86
Stick Out Your Tongue 5:28 Elvis Costello & The Roots Wise Up Ghost 92
First two songs are from a most exciting CD – strange pairing that totally works for me
Her Favorite Song 3:34 Mayer Hawthorne Where Does This Door Go 87
Mayer Hawthorne moves from the 70s to the present. You could imagine him with Daft Punk.
La Grange 3:52 ZZ Top ZZ Top: Greatest Hits 161
Just a classic
Someday Baby 4:56 Bob Dylan Modern Times 165
A great Dylan piece – recent and as good (in my opinion) as his older stuff.
Cool Jerk 2:47 The Capitols Dance the Cool Jerk 84
Old school is not always bad, sometimes it is great.
Doin’ It Right 4:11 Daft Punk Random Access Memories 89
The Game of Love 5:22 Daft Punk Random Access Memories 90
Daft Punk at the top of their game
Archaeology 5:21 Sweet Billy Pilgrim Crown and Treaty 88
Not available in the US – ordered from Great Britain. Brilliant CD and spectacular song.
Please Don’t Take Your Luv 4:49 Smokey Robinson Time Flies 80
Smokey can still write and sing!
Black and White Town 4:15 Doves...
