Laparoscopic positive staining of hepatic segments using ICG ‐fluorescence imaging

AbstractIn conventional techniques of anatomic hepatectomy, boundaries of hepatic segments are identified by injection of blue dye (indigo carmine) into the corresponding portal branch under ultrasound guidance [1]. Recently, fluorescence imaging following the injection of indocyanine green (ICG) solution into the portal branch has been used for clearer visualization of hepatic segments [2 –4].
