We are grateful to Dr Atamanalp1 for his comments regarding our article entitled “Colonoscopy-assisted percutaneous sigmoidopexy: a novel, simple, safe, and efficient treatment for inoperable sigmoid volvulus (with videos).”2 First, Dr Atamanalp defined his candidate population using criteria of an American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score of 4 or higher and age 70 y ears old or above for percutaneous sigmoidopexy.
