CONCLUSIONS: Circ-ABCB10 was first identified as a novel oncogene in thyroid cancer. Furthermore, it significantly enhanced the proliferation and invasion of thyroid cancer by targeting KLF6. Our findings suggested that circ-ABCB10 could be used as a potential therapeutic target in thyroid cancer. PMID: 32096158 [PubMed - in process]

AbstractPurposeThe classification of indeterminate cytopathology at thyroid fine-needle-aspiration (FNA) has been updated to reduce the number of unnecessary surgery; the 2014 Italian classification introduced the low-risk (TIR3A) and high-risk (TIR3B) subcategories. Aim of this study was to identify the ultrasonographic (US), clinical and cytological predictors of malignancy among TIR3B nodules from a single institution.MethodsA prospective observational study including 1844 patients who underwent thyroid FNA from June 2014 to January 2019. Ultrasonographic, clinical and cytological features were recorded. All TIR3B diagn...

This study aimed to evaluate fertility in female survivors of childhood DTC by assessing various reproductive characteristics combined with anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels (a marker of ovarian reserve). Methods. Female survivors of childhood DTC, diagnosed at ≤18 years of age between 1970 and 2013 were included. Survivors were excluded when follow-up time was less than 5 years or if they developed other malignancies before or after diagnosis of DTC. Survivors filled out a questionnaire regarding reproductive characteristics (e.g. age at menarche and menopause, pregnancies, pregnancy outcomes, need for assisted ...

In this study, a highly sensitive and accurate LC–MS/MS method was firstly established for subsequent measurement of PdG in serum of three different female groups: thyroid cancer patients (TCs), healthy controls (HCs) and pregnant women. The factors affecting the sample preparation, MS/MS method, gradient elution program, selection of chromatographic column and internal standard (IS) have been optimized in this study. Compared with enzyme immunoassay (EIA) method, we used LC–MS/MS to shorten analysis time, increase sensitivity, raise specificity, simplify sample preparation, and reduce costs. As a result, the l...
