Peri-implant Disease: Peri-implantitis Vs. Peri-Implantosis

Peri-implantitis can be defined as an inflammatory or infectious process that starts with mucosal inflammation (peri-implant gingivitis or mucositis) and progress to peri-implant bone leading to partial or complete loss of implant osseointegration and implant failure.
