Regenerative surgery versus access flap for the treatment of intrabony periodontal defects. A systematic review and meta-analysis.

CONCLUSION: EMD or GTR in combination with papillary preservation flaps should be considered the treatment of choice for residual pockets with deep (≥3mm) intrabony defects.
