The deadliest snake according to ethnobiological perception of the population of the Alto Juruá region, western Brazilian Amazonia
CONCLUSIONS: The high incidence, severity, and mortality of B. atrox bites and the severity and mortality of L. muta bites were the factors that contributed to these species being perceived as the most feared and venomous snakes.
