[Pharmacogenetics for patient care in France: A discipline that evolves!]

This article reviews the current situation in France and the milestones of the year 2018. It highlights recent advances in this field, in terms of currently recommended analyses, sharing of information or technological developments, and the prospects for future developments in the near future from targeted pharmacogenetics to eventually preemptive approaches.
