Trends in Dialysis Access Where Does Florida Stand Compared to the Rest of the United States?

Arteriovenous fistulas are generally considered to be the ideal form of hemodialysis access. This is due to their greater longevity and lower complication rates when compared to other means of access such as arteriovenous grafts and dialysis catheters. It was our objective to investigate the utilization rates of these distinct types of hemodialysis access in Florida and the United States.
