Relationship of peripheral eosinophil count in patients with asthma to weight, pulmonary function tests, and exhaled nitric oxide

Conclusion: These findings indicated higher eosinophil count in patients with asthma with normal weight compared to overweight and obese asthma patients and this is another indication of different pathologic mechanisms in obese phenotype of asthma. Also this indicates lack of relationship of these markers with severity of changes of pulmonary functions tests or oxygen saturation.
