In search of fair babies, Indians chase Caucasian donors for IVF

This article in the Times of India describes changing trends in babymaking. I'd love to hear your comments ! Is it understandable that because we have high expectations from our children, if people want to have children with certain characters, we should allow them to use technology to do so ? After all, isn't this why men look for fair brides, so they can have fair children ? Isn't this technology a logical extension of fulfilling their desires ? Or is this is a misuse of technology ? Are parents being greedy and too demanding ? Do "designer babies" represent a downward slippery slope where children are treated as a commodity which can me made to order ? http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/In-search-of-fair-babies-Indians-chase-Caucasian-donors-for-IVF/articleshow/21203722.cms
