Publication date: Available online 15 November 2019Source: Phytochemistry LettersAuthor(s): Chutima Srinroch, Poolsak Sahakitpichan, Nitirat Chimnoi, Somsak Ruchirawat, Tripetch KanchanapoomAbstractThree new phenolic glycosides were isolated from the leaves and twigs of Magnolia figo, and identitified to be 3,4-dihydroxy-β-phenylethoxyl-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1"→2')-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1'"→3')-(4'-O-trans-caffeoyl)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1'""→6')]-β-D-glucopyranoside (champikhaekoside, 8), 4-hydroxybenzyl O-β-D-apiofuranosyl-(1"→2')-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1'"→3')]-β-D-glucopyranoside (17) and (+)-(7S,8S)-guaiacylglycerol 8-(6'-O-vanilloyl)-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (26). Additionally, 41 known compounds were identified. The structure elucidation of these compounds was based on analyses of physical and spectroscopic data including 1D and 2D NMR experiments.Graphical abstract
