ONLY the anesthesiologist

I don't have much of an ego when it comes to these things but lately i've noticed more and more patients thinking anesthesiologists are not doctors. Comments like oh hes not the doctor hes just anesthesiologist. I'm sure they just mean he's not the surgeon but im beginning to wonder has the CRNAs brainwashing actually worked. Their plan has worked now I have to introduce myself as physician anesthesiologist...

A more recent technique which buries an intradermal needle into the skin may provides long lasting stimulation and enhance analgesia. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and feasibility of perioperative auricular acupuncture technique via intradermal needling buried on postoperative movement-evoked pain reduction of patients with advanced gastric can...

In this study, we compared different anesthesia and operation methods for modeling VX2 hepatocarcinoma in rabbits. Forty New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into three groups: A, B, and C. Group A underwent ultrasound-guided implantation and intravenous anesthesia; Group B underwent ultrasound-guided implantation and inhalation anesthesia; Group C underwent laparotomy implantation and intravenous anesthesia. Anesthesia and operation differences were compared between groups A and B, and A and C, respectively. We used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to assess tumor formation and growth, and pathological examinat...

Sevoflurane induces apoptosis of isolated placental trophoblast cells and stimulates expressions of TNF-α and IL-6. Am J Transl Res. 2019;11(11):7084-7093 Authors: Hong S, Li Y, Su D, Mo L, Han B, Fang Q, Hu Z, Li K, Chen X, Jia J Abstract Studies have shown that narcotic drugs may affect the function of placental trophoblast cells. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of sevoflurane on apoptosis and proinflammatory cytokines in isolated placental trophoblast cells. The primary placental trophoblast cells were obtained from a total of 20 parturients, which were randomly divided int...

Publication date: Available online 9 December 2019Source: NeuroImageAuthor(s): Erik D. Fagerholm, Rosalyn J. Moran, Inês R. Violante, Robert Leech, Karl J. FristonAbstractModels of coupled phase oscillators are used to describe a wide variety of phenomena in neuroimaging. These models typically rest on the premise that oscillator dynamics do not evolve beyond their respective limit cycles, and hence that interactions can be described purely in terms of phase differences. Whilst mathematically convenient, the restrictive nature of phase-only models can limit their explanatory power. We therefore propose a generalisati...
