Supramolecular architecture of diammonium ferrocene-1,1′-diyldi(methylphosphinate)

The salt forms a supramolecular 3D structure due to hydrogen bonds between the layers formed by ammonium cations and 1,1′-ferrocenylene-bis(methylphosphinic) acid dianions. It is found that the methyl substituent in the salt does not prevent the formation of hydrogen bonds in three-dimensional space.Graphical abstract
