Abstract
An efficient synthesis of 1,3-oxathiolan-2-yliden derivatives is described via a simple reactions between CH-acids, CS2 and oxiranes in the presence of triethylamine at 70°C in water as the solvent. The mild reaction conditions and high yields of the products exhibit the good synthetic advantage of this method.
