Brief transdiagnostic parent training (BTPT) is a short-term intervention that uses the principles of operant conditioning to change problematic behaviors in children, adolescents, and young adults. As such, BTPT is a helpful tool in teaching psychiatry and psychology trainees effective case management for patients with complex presentations.
