It ’s all relative: integrating family therapy into the treatment of somatic symptom and related disorders

Somatic symptoms in children exist within the context of family systems, and successful treatment often depends on creating change within these systems through family therapy. This Clinical Perspectives focuses on incorporating family therapy into the treatment of patients with somatic symptom and related disorders. Participants will be introduced to programs across levels of care that have successfully integrated family therapy into the treatment of these challenging patients.
