Raising our voices for families separated at the border: understanding and responding to the crisis

The zero-tolerance policy separated thousands of immigrant children from their parents in 2018. Although the policy ended, there are still families pending reunification, and proposed changes to the Flores agreement threaten the well-being of immigrant children. This Clinical Perspectives aims to provide child and adolescent psychiatrists with a better understanding of the needs of this vulnerable population and with useful strategies to engage in advocacy efforts.
