2.2 novel technology-based intervention for pediatric ocd and anxiety

By some estimates, less than 20 percent of youth with clinical anxiety or OCD receive effective treatment for their disorder because of their inability to access quality care. The accelerating proliferation of technology-based child mental health applications has the potential to not only increase access to treatment for clinical care, especially in underserved areas, but also enhance the quality of care. At the same time, only a small fraction of existing applications uses approaches rooted in the evidence base or are formally tested for efficacy.
