Electrocatalysis: Atomic Carbon Layers Supported Pt Nanoparticles for Minimized CO Poisoning and Maximized Methanol Oxidation (Small 38/2019)

In article numberhttps://doi.org/10.1002/smll.2019029511902951, Xili Tong, Nianjun Yang, and co ‐workers report uniform growth of Pt nanoparticles on an atomic carbon layer derived from SiC spheres. They exhibit maximized catalytic activity toward methanol oxidation to CO2 and minimized CO poison effect. The produced electricity is high enough to light the lotus. Such a catalyst utilizes efficient Pt catalysts for direct methanol fuel cells.
