Specific personality traits and associated psychosocial distresses among individuals with heroin or methamphetamine use disorder in Taiwan.
CONCLUSIONS: Our results indicate substance abusers with high novelty seeking and harm avoidance, corresponding to explosive (borderline) or sensitive (narcissistic) patterns, to have a higher tendency to suffer from somatic and psychosocial distresses.
