Judge orders J & J to pay $572M in Oklahoma opioid trial
An Oklahoma judge ruled Monday Johnson& Johnson must pay $572 million for its role in contributing to the state's opioid-addiction epidemic.
The verdict was issued by Cleveland County District Judge Thad Balkman. Johnson& Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) immediately said it would appeal the ruling.
Johnson& Johnson's stock was down 2% at $130.12 per share in after hours trading.
