In this week's Saturday Safety Roundup, stories of: an 11-year-old in Bradenton, Florida who was hospitalized after being bitten by a dog in his home which severed one of his fingers and may have broken his arm. The boy had reach into the dog's cage to pet him. His father then shot the dog to get his son's finger back from the dog's stomach. a 21-month-old in Ellabell, Georgia who was mauled to death by seven dogs owned by her family in her own back yard after she got out of the house through a doggie door. The group of dogs, family pets, included pit bulls and pit bull mixes and would often play with the toddler. an 8-year-old in Berkeley, California who was shot in the leg with an arrow while visiting a museum on a school trip. It is still not known if someone shot the arrow while hunting or shooting targets with a crossbow. a 17-year-old Madison County, Georgia who shot himself in the hand while trying to unload a gun. two teen girls in Rison, Arkansas who were seriously injured while riding an ATV which flipped after they lost control while crossing a road to get to a trail. an 8-year-old in Rapid City, South Dakota who drowned in an Econo Lodge pool while swimming with her two older sisters. an 9-year-old with autism in East Greenwich Township, New Jersey who nearly drowned in a creek near his house after he wandered away and got stuck in the mud as the tide was rising. a 7-year-old in Fairfield, California who drowned in a backyard swimming pool. a 10-year-o...
