Letter to the Editor re 'Variations of sex development: The first German interdisciplinary consensus paper

In the paper “Variations of sex development: the first German interdisciplinary consensus paper” published in this journal [2019, April 15(2): 114-123], the authors state that “recent outcome studies also indicate that the results of past treatments are far worse than expected”, referring, among others, to two works from our group, respectively “Anatomical and functional outcomes of feminizing genitoplasty for ambiguous genitalia in patients with virilizing congenital hyperplasia” (ref.2) and “Long-term surgical outcomes of masculinizing genitoplasty in large cohort of patients with disorders of sex development”(ref.
